Our “flag ship” Salsa

“Salsa Fresca” or “Pico de Gallo” accurately describes our award winning ready-to-eat super vegetable, salsa.  Under the Produce for Better Health Foundation, FDA and 5-a-day standards, it is recognized as the only salsa in the Nation certified as a “pure” vegetable.  You get raw uncooked produce.

It is conveniently cut for you into small chunks making each ingredient easily recognizable. You are assured of an ALL  natural, preservative and additive free product. You are getting a fresh synergistic super-vegetable.  Unlike other salsas, we do NOT add thickeners, purees, tomato paste, water, sugar, citric acid, starch or any other preservative (natural or synthetic) or additive (natural or synthetic). You are getting a pure clean vegetable blend, ready-to-eat, conveniently packaged and no waste.

Mama Vega Salsa uses all "fresh" ingredients. Produce is shipped from the farms directly to the co-packing company. Once received at the co-packing company each ingredient is carefully logged in for quality control and tracking purposes. The warehouse is carefully monitored for temperature that remains constant throughout the storage, preparation, packaging and shipping process.

The machines are exceptionally “clean” also devoid of preservatives or additives. Each ingredient is rinsed and bathed thoroughly in a natural solution to kill bacteria and germs. The blending of ingredients is carefully monitored for consistency in product. All batches are tested to assure a safe consumable product.  

As a result of the careful blending of the various "fresh" ingredients, the consumer ends up with a "fresh" spicy “pico de gallo” salsa perfect for eating alone or incorporated into ANY recipe.  Providing you with this fresh raw conveniently packaged and well blended vegetable allows you flexibility with serving options.  The flavors of your meals will be enhanced without being overpowered with the added benefit of assisting you with getting your 5 to 9 servings of vegetables each day.

Our small batch manufacturing is done locally and meets the California Department of Health A rating standard. Large batches manufactured at our co-packer's plant, complies with both Kosher and Kefir standards.
